In Your Area

The ABA is committed to engaging Black UF alumni all over the world. We have chapters in Atlanta, South Florida, Tampa and D.C.

Destination ABA

Join ABA for its first multi-city alumni experience on Saturday, April 18. Free registration begins Monday, March 9.

Scholarship Endowment

The ABA has established an endowed scholarship fund with the UF Foundation to support deserving students.

The University of Florida Association of Black Alumni (ABA) is an affiliate group of the University of Florida Alumni Association (UFAA). As set forth in the Association’s Charter, ABA aims to strengthen engagement among Black University of Florida (UF) graduates and raise fund for its scholarship endowment.

ABA currently serves thousands of Gator graduates across the nation and operates four chapter/committees in Atlanta, South Florida, Tampa Bay and Washington, D.C.

Your involvement is critical to ensuring your alma mater’s initiatives for diversity remain vibrant. ABA assists with the recruitment and retention of Black students through the Office of Admission’s Destination UF programs, provides mentoring opportunities to current students and alumni and promotes the efforts of the Institute of Black Culture and several other campus student groups and UF programs.

When you join the UFAA, you can select an Affiliated Membership with the Association of Black Alumni at no additional cost to you. Not only will you enjoy the benefits of membership within the UFAA, including a host of discounts on Gator gear, rental cars, hotels, restaurants and more, you’ll be kept apprised of events and programming specifically designed to reflect on, remember, and build on the Black student experience on campus — including Black Alumni reunion events and more.
